Dance Marathon, or DM, is a fundraiser for the Embrace Kids Foundation, a charity that helps provide for the non-medical needs of children diagnosed with cancer and blood disorders. Embrace Kids offers a wide variety of services including emergency financial support, trauma counselors, tutors, and child-life specialists. Rutgers University Dance Marathon is the largest student-run philanthropy in New Jersey, and participants have been helping Embrace Kids for more than a decade. Last year, Rutgers University Dance Marathon raised a record-breaking $380,351 for the kids.

On March 31, 2012 the College Avenue Gym will transform into an enormous celebration, the culmination of an entire year of fundraising efforts. The cause will energize over 600 dancers who, for 32 hours straight, will obey this motto: No Sitting, No Sleeping, No Kidding. The event unites thousands of students and families across Rutgers, New Brunswick, and New Jersey for the kids.

This year, the Epsilon Undergraduate Chapter of Alpha Zeta Omega is participating in this wonderful cause, but we need your help. We have over 15 dancers and have to raise $350/dancer! Epsilon has been a part of the Adopt a Family Program for many years. We have been supporting our newest addition to our family, 5-year old Peyton Green, through fundraisers, donations and just spending quality time with her at the clinic when she goes for her blood transfusions every 2-3 weeks.
